Do or Die Time

The season for the Rockies comes to today. Forget what has happened with their magical run. The Boston Red Sox took a 3-0 series lead with their 10-5 victory last night. Boston’s 103 million dollar man, Daisuke Matsuzaka, pitched 5 1/3 innings on his way to a victory. He even had a critical hit in the game. Explained Dice-K, “I can’t quite say that I’m a confident hitter. But I love hitting.” It was Matsuzaka’s first big league hit. Colorado Rockies had a great rally going in the 7th inning, but the Boston bullpen, combined with more timely hitting by the Red Sox, prevented the Rockies from taking the lead in the game. This one wasn’t over when it started, but the Rockies proved that they couldn’t come through once again.
