Kenny Rogers Tiger no More

According to the Detroit Free Press, the Detroit Tigers and free agent lefty Kenny Rogers have parted ways.

The Tigers wasted no time in seeking a replacement. Citing National League sources, The Free-Press reported Detroit Tigers inquired about the availability of Florida Marlins left-hander Dontrelle Willis this week.

The Tigers will have a hard time bargaining for Willis. They would need to give up some amazing prospects; their ability to do that has been dampened in both spirit and materialism by the trade of prospects Jair Jurrjens and Gorkys Hernandez to Atlanta for shortstop Edgar Renteria.
