Dodgers Looking for CF help

The Los Angeles Dodgers are looking to improve their center field situation. They are exploring three free agents: Torii Hunter, Andruw Jones, and Aaron Rowand.

The Los Angeles Times reported of the three Rowand, a Southern California native, is probably most interested. Andruw Jones is probably seeking a monster contract, so unless the Dodgers are willing to part with a lot of money (which they can afford), Jones is likely headed to another team.

The addition of Jones, Hunter, or Rowand probably would result in weak-armed Juan Pierre’s being moved from center field to left.

Dodgers General Manager Ned Colletti said considerations were in the early stages. “We’re curious to know what their interest level is in playing here and what it’s going to take to get them here,” Colletti said. “They’re all accomplished in their own way. They all bring something to the table.”
